Mr. Richard Diedong Dombo is a Lawyer and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1990. He read Law at the University of Ghana and finished with Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) honors in 1987 before continuing to the Ghana School of Law to take a Professional Law Course to finally become a full-fledged Barrister-at-Law. He then went on to London Guildhall University and pursued a post graduate certificate in Corporate and Investment Law.

Richard had his Basic Education in Nandom in the Upper Western Region of Ghana and attended the Nandom Secondary School. He served his nation diligently after his GCE ‘O and ‘A levels before pursuing a one year course at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra. Richard has studied a lot of courses quite relevant to the Railway Sector such as TOLO, PICOP, PTS
among others. He also attended The Institute of Leadership and Management, The Institute of Customer Service and was a Practitioner of Alternate Dispute Resolution. He worked in the Customer Service Department of Eurostar UK Ltd and has since then acted in various railway industry management positions.
From 2008 till 2017, Richard was the Operations Resource Manager of SouthWest Trains Ltd, UK. He has been in the railway industry of the United Kingdom for twenty-three years making him well versed in the affairs of the railway sector. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Railway Development Authority since March 2017.
Richard is a Christian who, until recently, was based in London in the United Kingdom with his wife and three children.
He is an avid supporter of the Arsenal Football Club, United Kingdom, and of Barcelona Football Club of Spain, as well as Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club of Ghana.
